description: This dataset includes inundation map layers for all estuaries in NSW. The map layers include both current (2020) water level exceedance and future water level exceedance for a range of sea level rise scenarios. The mapping method utilises an extensive database of estuarine tide gauge data and adopts a water surface fitting approach, which allows for variation in water levels both between and along individual estuaries. Gauge data are analysed to determine daily maximum water level exceedance, which is then mapped to show inundation extent at several exceedance levels.
